Power Platform Finance is a brand of Learn Data Insights (LDI) - a company registered in England and Wales (Company number 11507369) with registered address of 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX

When you login or sign up on our website we are the data controller for your personal data. This means we are responsible for how your personal information is collected, used, stored and shared. We ensure that the necessary security measurements are in place, give you control over your personal data, and we respect your rights as the owner of your personal data.

LDI/PPF is a community-driven site with a key objective being to provide free/affordable learning to the data analytics community, with targeted insights into your performance that you can benchmark against others. Our data collection revolves around providing you this service and allowing us to better tailor an individual learning journey for you.

The type of personal information collected and reasons for collecting it:

Identifiers linked to the social media account that you use to login (Google/LinkedIn/Microsoft) including First Name, Last Name, username, email, social profile URL and profile picture. This data is only used to login and provide account information as a user on the LDI/PPF website without requiring a separate account/password.
For LDI, the information you complete on the Edit Profile section including Job role, location (Country/City) and Level of experience/skill with each of the tools. This data is used for benchmarking purposes to provide meaningful cohort analytics for members. Note that you will NOT be identifiable on any of these analytics reports unless you choose to display your name under the privacy section of your profile.
Website engagement data using cookies and website analytics such as Google Analytics. This data is used to identify and recognise/reward the most active members and for targeted notifications/communications.
Quiz/course completion and performance data. This is used for the benchmarking reports, to identify and recognise/reward our highest performing members and to provide information to you to improve your skills. This data is also used internally to better understand our user base and to improve and assess the difficulty of questions/quizzes according to the average scores.

You can view or edit your personal information at any time (except you cannot change your email address/name) by visiting the edit profile page on your account on the LDI website.

Under the Edit Profile section, you also have the option to decide on the level of communications you receive from LDI/PPF. If you choose to receive updates as well as notifications, LDI/PPF will send regular (approx. monthly) newsletters to let you know about new content on the websites/in the wider community and updates with the LDI team. LDI uses the marketing automation provider Brevo (formerly Send In Blue) for this where this data is held securely in line with data protection legislation. Use of Cookies

A cookie is a piece of information placed on the hard drive of Internet users by the server of the site they visit. It contains several pieces of data: the name of the server which installed it, an identifier in the form of a unique number, and possibly an expiry date. This information is sometimes stored on the computer in a simple text file that a server accesses to read and save pieces of information. LDI installs a small number cookies on your machine, for example to identify you as a returning visitor.

Who we share your data with

LDI may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our offering, to provide services on our behalf, and/or to assist us in analysing how our products/offerings are being used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose.

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does NOT identify any individual, without restriction.

We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:

To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business.
To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company’s assets whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by the Company about the Service’s users is among the assets transferred.
For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers, or others.

We will take necessary steps with any of these organisations we work with to ensure that they comply with the handling of the data under GDPR. For example we will require them to not store any personal information outside of the LDI environment and prohibit them from using this for any other purpose.

Lawful Basis

Under Data Protection legislation, the lawful basis we rely for signing up to the site and subscription to the LDI Mailing list is consent. You are able to remove your consent to the subscription to the mailing list at any time from the Edit Profile section or by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of any mailshot we send you. For receiving quiz results and notifications (e.g. of token assignment/expiry), we rely on the lawful basis of legitimate interest on the basis of a legitimate interest assessment.

Should you not wish to receive any commnications from LDI/PPF, you can do this by raising a support ticket on the LDI website and selecting the option to “Remove from Database ”. This will delete all of your quiz/course history and all the information associated with your profile. Should you decide to sign up again at a later stage it will be with a different profile identifier and therefore your history will be lost.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored in the UK with a local web hosting provider and Azure UK South data centre.

We keep this data only for the period during which the data is relevant (e.g. to be used for a time-based analysis in benchmarking reports). After this point, we will delete historical data from our website database.

What rights you have over your data

You have a number of rights with regard to your personal information under data protection legislation. If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

You can also request that we correct your data or that we erase any personal data we hold about you by raising a support ticket and selecting the ‘Request to be removed from database’ option.

As an individual, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

To be informed about how your data is handled;
To gain access to your personal data;
To have errors or inaccuracies in your data changed;
To have your personal data erased from our systems;
To object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes or when the processing is based on the public interest or other legitimate interests;
To restrict the processing of your personal data, in limited circumstances;
To obtain a copy of some of your data in a commonly used electronic form;
Rights around how you are affected by any profiling or automated decisions.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights.

You are able to withdraw your consent for us to collect and process your personal information at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

You are also able to unsubscribe from our mailing list which will mean that you can remain as a user of Learn Data Insights (and are able to take quizzes/courses) but will not get notified of new content. To do this, click on unsubscribe at the bottom of any email you receive from us or select the appropriate option in your profile.

What if we change this policy?

We may need to update this policy from time to time so we encourage you to review it frequently. If you are unsure if the policy has changed, please refer to the “Last Review” date below. If a change is significant, LDI will send a notice via email giving you the flexibility to terminate your contract with us or opt-out of certain aspects, such as receiving emails.

Terms of Use

Learn Data Insights (LDI) was set up to help educate members of the data community to improve their understanding of data using various data tools. These data tools are either owned by respective companies or freely available to download.

The current and future content available on the website of LDI (learndatainsights.com) and PPF (powerplatformfinance.com) is subject to copyright.

Individuals engaging in which form whatsoever with LDI/PPF such as (but not exhaustive), visiting the website, participating in the focus group, attending a webinar, taking a course, making tests / quizzes and receiving feedback by email are bound by these terms of use.

Keeping LDI/PPF course material and quizzes/tests (assessment material) confidential helps maintain the value of assessment material The content is LDI confidential and is proprietary information which is protected by intellectual property laws. It is made available to you for learning and to test your knowledge and competency in the exam subject matter.

Any disclosure of the assessment material or information related to the quiz/course content, including course material, exam questions, answers, content, computations, diagrams, drawings or worksheets is strictly prohibited.

You will not disclose, distribute, copy, display, publish, summarise, photograph, record, download, transmit or post the course or quiz material, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means now known or hereafter devised.

Please note that you may only set up one account on LDI – it is against the terms of use to set up multiple accounts (even with different providers) in order to gain additional free tokens. We actively monitor sign-up addresses and associated IP addresses/profiles and will delete any duplicate accounts that are identified.
