Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to do the whole course just as self-paced e-learning?Research has shown that retention rates for experiential learning can be as high as 75-90% compared to just 20-40% for Video on demand courses. For this reason, the course is run through live workshop lessons where you can get hands-on and learn as part of a group!
What are the dates and times of the instructor led workshops?The schedule of these will vary to accomodate different timezones. See ExLF The Foundations of Power BI Analytics for details of the next course dates and times
What happens if I miss a session? Are they all recorded?No video recordings are provided to encourage live attendance. Experiential Learning Programs must be attended live to fully benefit. Just like an in-person event, if you miss a session then you’ll need to catch up with the content via the e-learning modules and wait for the next workshop session.
Do I need to do all the e-learning or can I just attend the workshop sessions?The e-learning is completely optional. You can of course choose to attend just the workshop sessions though there is a lot of content covered and most people benefit from having the e-learning content alongside, either doing the relevant module before each workshop so that they're ready to try it hands on in the group, or afterwards for review/recap.
What level of knowledge/experience of Power BI is required for this course?For the beginner/intermediate course (The Foundations of Power BI Analytics) it is expected that you have at learnt the fundamentals of Power BI through formal training or experience. 

Registering for a free Dashboard in  Day course  ahead of the cohort sessions will set you up well to get the most of the course if you are completely new to Power BI. (In the UK, Rupe deliver several of these sessions and are also able to offer tailored training for your company).
Is this course also available privately for my team/company?Yes, we are able to offer the course exclusively for your team/company as either virtual on in-person depending on location, with additional options to customise the content or host it within your own Learning Management System (LMS).
If I get a Grow CFO ExLF membership can I only use it on Power BI?No - this is the key advantage of the Grow CFO program and a main reason we have partnered with them!

With the Grow CFO program you get 24 credits per year to use across any of the ExLF programs - topics include everything from financial modelling and finance transformation to personal branding and professional Effectiveness!

Each of the PPF courses are 8 credits (corresponding to 8 hours of training). If you did both courses you would still have 8 credits to use for another course (or two!) on the platform.
How much does the GrowCFO ExLF program cost?The base price for an individual membership (or teams up to 6) is £195 / €230 / $255 per month, or an annual price of £1950 / €2350 / $2595.
